Stockholm, July 4, 2024 – Artist Arena is proud to announce its participation in the Affordable Art Fair Stockholm 2024, featuring outstanding works from eight prominent artists. This prestigious event for contemporary art lovers will showcase the unique talents of artists represented by Artist Arena.

Mikael Törnqvist

Mikael Törnqvist, a figurative painter known for his dramatic urban landscapes, has captivated audiences at Liljevalchs vårsalong and exhibitions across Sweden. Using memories and photographs as his starting point, Törnqvist creates emotional works that transcend mere representation. His background includes studies at Lunds konstskola, Ölands Folkhögskola, and Konstfack. Recently, he exhibited at the Artist Arena Showroom with great success.

Hesho Serray

Hesho Serray has painted in various forms since childhood and has recently focused on abstract art using materials like putty, clay, and acrylic. Her works are inspired by different emotions, the beauty of life, energy, and nature. Serray blends Scandinavian art with her own textural style and has recently started incorporating Wabi Sabi principles into her works.

André Guldhjärta (Guldhart)

André Guldhjärta, known as Guldhart, draws his creative inspiration from Limhamn and his fascination with cats. By combining his last name’s Swedish translation, “gold heart,” with his art, he creates personal and expressive works highlighting the importance of heart health. Guldhart has exhibited in Malmö and Copenhagen and has collaborated with Swedish pop and street artists.

Maria Slättman

Maria Slättman is a Stockholm-based artist whose abstract works are inspired by the micro-worlds within cells, as well as patterns and colors in nature and everyday objects. Her background as a molecular biologist often reflects in the titles of her works. Slättman’s art is characterized by a layer-on-layer technique, texture, and a three-dimensional depth that creates balanced compositions.

Klas Wiréhn

For 16 years, Klas Wiréhn has explored the interplay between the abstract colors of nature and the tangible situations of everyday life. With his colorful and large paintings, Wiréhn captures daily life with a touch of humor and topicality. He primarily works with acrylic paint and strives to find unexpected effects and new concepts in his pieces.

Anna Brandt

Anna Brandt began painting in 2019 after inheriting art materials from her mother. Her works are often interpretations of childhood memories and places she has visited, as well as places she dreams of visiting. Brandt paints based on emotion and often works on multiple pieces simultaneously. The light and colors of nature are significant sources of inspiration for her.

Cornelia Greko

Cornelia Greko is a contemporary Scandinavian abstract artist working in both painting and sculpture. Her inspiration comes from the colors, shapes, and rhythms of nature, combined with everyday life and the human experience. Greko’s works tell stories of the past and present, encouraging reflection and creativity.

Ingeborg Andersson

Ingeborg Andersson is a Stockholm-based abstract artist whose works are an extension of her creative journey in textile art, graphic design, and interior decoration. Her paintings are rich in color and emotion, with layers and textures that create depth and stories. Andersson is a member of Svenska Konstnärsförbundet, and her works are in the collections of several major corporations.
