Are we the product of chance, evolution, or something far beyond our understanding? Chicken or Egg is a visual meditation on the panspermia theory- the idea that life on Earth may have originated from extraterrestrial sources. The composition blends evolution, cosmic wonder, and existential curiosity, questioning not just how we got here, but why. A vast, ringed planet dominates the sky, resembling both Saturn and a celestial womb with its surface textured like a living organism. A group of sperm drift toward it, hinting at the cosmic seeding of life itself. Below, the familiar skyline of New York City, inverted and ghostly, stands as a testament to human civilization- our perceived pinnacle of progress. Yet, marching in front of it, the classical sequence of evolution plays out, reinforcing the cyclical nature of existence. The negative color scheme creates an eerie, otherworldly perspective, as if viewing our reality through an alien lens. The accompanying question- "Chicken or egg? Which one came first, and what does that mean for us?"- urges the viewer to reconsider their understanding of beginnings. If life was seeded from the stars, what does that imply about our future? Are we alone, or merely another step in an endless chain of cosmic creation? Chicken or Egg challenges our deepest assumptions, merging science, philosophy, and surrealism into a single, striking image.

Welcome! I’m Brother Deadie, a digital artist and graphic designer with a unique passion for blending the realms of Surrealism, Dada, and Pop Art. My artistic journey began as a way to explore the boundaries of creativity and communication, evolving into a vibrant expression of imagination through digital collages and illustrations. Currently, I balance my time between working as a waiter and freelancing as a graphic designer, allowing me to draw inspiration from diverse experiences and perspectives. My work often reflects sarcastically the playful irony of the absurdity of life, inviting viewers to see the world from a fresh, unconventional angle. I strive to use visual storytelling to comment on societal issues, provoke thoughtful discussions, and raise awareness about the importance of equality and of our planet for a sustainable future. I believe that art should challenge mundane thoughts, daily life, the status quo, and spark conversation- aiming to create pieces of work that resonate on multiple levels. Each collage and drawing is a journey into the unexpected, a fusion of public domain images and my own creations that blend elements of cyberpunk and the occult, coming together to tell a story that is distinctly their own.
