A modern twist on The Thinker, No Signal reimagines Rodin’s classic figure of contemplation in the age of mass media. Instead of a human head, the statue bears an old television set, its screen frozen in an iconic symbol of transmission failure. The backdrop, a chaotic blend of urban sprawl and environmental decay, reinforces the feeling of a world drowning in excess yet starved for meaning, before the precipice of death. "Couldn't get any signal" The phrase lingers like an unsettling realization in a world where we consume endless streams of information— news cycles, streaming platforms, social feeds— yet struggle to process any of it. We care about everything and nothing, all at once. No Signal speaks to the paradox of our time: Are we truly thinking, or just buffering? Drawing influence from the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, the timeless commentary of Bob Dylan, and with hints of a Mooresque interpretation of human social systems, this piece is both a critique and a reflection—a moment of frozen thought in an era of endless noise.

Welcome! I’m Brother Deadie, a digital artist and graphic designer with a unique passion for blending the realms of Surrealism, Dada, and Pop Art. My artistic journey began as a way to explore the boundaries of creativity and communication, evolving into a vibrant expression of imagination through digital collages and illustrations. Currently, I balance my time between working as a waiter and freelancing as a graphic designer, allowing me to draw inspiration from diverse experiences and perspectives. My work often reflects sarcastically the playful irony of the absurdity of life, inviting viewers to see the world from a fresh, unconventional angle. I strive to use visual storytelling to comment on societal issues, provoke thoughtful discussions, and raise awareness about the importance of equality and of our planet for a sustainable future. I believe that art should challenge mundane thoughts, daily life, the status quo, and spark conversation- aiming to create pieces of work that resonate on multiple levels. Each collage and drawing is a journey into the unexpected, a fusion of public domain images and my own creations that blend elements of cyberpunk and the occult, coming together to tell a story that is distinctly their own.
