Regression is a striking cyberpunk-infused social critique, exposing the patriarchal and almost misogynistic trope of men seeking artificial, idealized versions of women while real women remain trapped in the impossible pursuit of idyllic men. The piece presents a dystopian future where intimacy has been mechanized, and human connection has been distorted beyond recognition. At the center, a sleek, humanoid female figure- part machine, part fantasy- collapses, her body tethered to a network of wires that dictate her existence. She embodies the commodification of femininity, reduced to an object of desire, built to please yet devoid of autonomy. Opposite her looms a skeletal male figure, his grin eerily predatory. He clutches her, a grotesque lover, symbolizing the decayed ideals of masculinity, dominance, and possession. His mechanical enhancements hint at a world where men, too, are dehumanized- clinging to outdated structures in an era of artificial affection. The chaos of the neon green, glitch like background intensifies the sense of a fractured reality- a world where artificial companionship replaces emotional depth. Regression does not merely depict a dystopian nightmare. It reflects an unsettling present where AI-generated relationships, virtual idols, and algorithm driven desire warp the human experience of love, intimacy, and gender dynamics. Through its surreal yet painfully relevant imagery, Regression poses a haunting question: In a world obsessed with technological perfection and artificial intimacy, are we advancing, or merely regressing into a new, digital loneliness?

Welcome! I’m Brother Deadie, a digital artist and graphic designer with a unique passion for blending the realms of Surrealism, Dada, and Pop Art. My artistic journey began as a way to explore the boundaries of creativity and communication, evolving into a vibrant expression of imagination through digital collages and illustrations. Currently, I balance my time between working as a waiter and freelancing as a graphic designer, allowing me to draw inspiration from diverse experiences and perspectives. My work often reflects sarcastically the playful irony of the absurdity of life, inviting viewers to see the world from a fresh, unconventional angle. I strive to use visual storytelling to comment on societal issues, provoke thoughtful discussions, and raise awareness about the importance of equality and of our planet for a sustainable future. I believe that art should challenge mundane thoughts, daily life, the status quo, and spark conversation- aiming to create pieces of work that resonate on multiple levels. Each collage and drawing is a journey into the unexpected, a fusion of public domain images and my own creations that blend elements of cyberpunk and the occult, coming together to tell a story that is distinctly their own.
