Cecilia Andersen, born 1979, living in Bromölla, Sweden. I'm a self taught artist who likes to find new ways to express myself. My photos work as base for most of my art and by trying more untraditional methods, I've found a way to present them in a more personal and expressive way. My latest project is sewing paper kimonos printed with my own photos. Each kimono has its own identity, formed by print and shape. I want my art to be something more than just something to look at. For example I invite everyone to touch the kimonos, feel the paper, hoping to wake some thought or feeling. My photos are often abstract, with the intention to get the observer to stop, to take a second look, stay with the piece while awakening the mind.
