Eva Katrín is a contemporary textile artist based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she lives with her husband and their three children. Her creative journey began early in life, but it was in 2020 that she started sharing and selling her work in Iceland. Today, Eva is known for her soft, sculptural floral compositions, a visual language she has been developing and refining over the past year. Through a unique merging of textile and visual art, she creates richly textured, three-dimensional works woven with yarn on raw linen canvas. Her handwoven botanical abstractions reflect shifting moods, seasons, and emotional landscapes. Each piece invites stillness and intimacy, a quiet celebration of softness in both nature and form, encouraging the viewer to pause, breathe, and feel. Alongside her art practice, Eva has worked as a registered nurse. She has gracefully balanced her roles as caregiver and creator, nurturing a part-time artistic career rooted in emotion, material sensitivity, and visual depth.
