This sculpture is part of my exploration of the relationship between man and nature – a fusion where boundaries are blurred and new identities are allowed to take shape. The woman in the work wears tree branches in her hair, as a sign of belonging, growth power and connection with the earth. She gazes calmly at us, rooted in her own inner landscape, but also in something larger and older than herself. My process always begins with a basic idea – a seed – but emerges intuitively during the work. I let the forms develop in dialogue with the material; the stoneware clay is as much in control as I am. The sculpture changes over time, taking on new expressions and meanings that were not there from the beginning. This particular figure emerged as a guardian of the wild – a symbol of courage, stillness and connection with nature. The surfaces also reflect this encounter: the glazed part of the jacket contrasts with the matte face and the coarse, tree-like hair. Here the human and the organic – the processed and the original – meet. "Rooted in Nature" is both a portrait and a reminder. About our anchoring. About how what grows within us is closely linked to what grows around us.

In my art, I enjoy exploring both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms of
expression. By using acrylic for paintings and clay for sculptures, I seek to create a
dynamic and versatile art practice. I am interested in capturing
feelings and expressions in a personal and emotional way, where both
form and color play an important role in communicating what I want to
convey. By combining these media, I create a rich, tactile and visual
experience for the viewer. Acrylic paint is super adaptable. I can use it to create both thick textured surfaces and thin, almost watercolor-like layers. I like that it can be used for different styles – from realistic shadows to more expressive brushstrokes. For me, painting can become a form of mindfulness. I can lose myself in the process – in mixing colors, finding the right shades, playing with the composition and just being in the moment. It’s not about stressing about the result, but about enjoying the creation.
