Jesper is a multifaceted creator, working as both a painter and sculptor, who has innovatively integrated coffee into nearly all of his artwork. His journey with coffee as a medium began unexpectedly; after installing a new concrete tabletop in his kitchen, he sought a way to protect it from the acidity of coffee. This led to the unconventional practice of placing watercolor paper beneath their coffee machine, where they discovered intriguing animal shapes formed in the resultant stains. Captivated by these organic patterns, he began to preserve the stained papers, using coffee as paint to create vivid works. As his artistic exploration progressed, he expanded his technique to include painting on canvas, employing a unique blend of coffee mixed with various mediums to enhance his creations. In addition to his paintings, the artist's sculptures also prominently feature coffee, with coffee beans artfully incorporated into the resin used in his work. Each piece not only showcases their innovative approach but also pays homage to the humble coffee bean, making their art a distinct fusion of everyday materials and artistic vision.
