Julia Frostensson, born in 1997 in Stockholm and raised in Umeå, is a contemporary painter currently based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her practice centers on large-scale abstract works, created through a mixed technique involving acrylic paint, oil pastels, oil sticks, graphite pencils, and ink. Frostensson’s approach emphasizes process and material, resulting in compositions that encourage quiet attention and slow looking.
