About

My name is Elahe Jalili, a self-taught artist based in Stockholm, specializing in creating highly realistic landscape paintings. My primary medium is acrylic on canvas, where I strive to capture the intricate details of nature. My work often borders on photorealism, depicting expansive vistas of natural elements—rich with vibrant colors and varied textures, from rolling hills and serene lakes to dramatic mountains and stormy skies. Recently, I have also begun working with oil paints, further expanding my creative range and exploring new techniques in my artistic practice. I have had the privilege of showcasing my work in solo exhibitions across Stockholm and, over the past three years, have participated in more than ten group exhibitions in cities such as Paris, Milan, and Rome. Additionally, I was honored to be recognized as an “International Prize Ambassador of Art 2021,” with one of my pieces featured in the International Art Magazine. (May/June 2021).

Art has always been my passion, but the global pandemic allowed me to fully dedicate myself to my craft, deepening my connection to painting and allowing me to explore my artistic potential further.

Inspiration

My inspiration for painting landscapes comes from a deep connection with nature and its ever-changing beauty, as well as the work of artists like Michael James Smith and Viktor Yushkevich, whose techniques have influenced my style.

Acrylic and oil on canvas

My painting process for realistic landscapes combines both acrylic and oil to achieve depth and detail. I often begin with acrylics, using them for the initial underpainting and base layers. Their quick drying time allows me to build up a solid foundation, sketching out the composition and laying in broad areas of color. Once this groundwork is complete, I move to oils for the finer details and subtle blending. Oils provide me with the richness and flexibility needed to capture the intricate textures of nature —whether it’s the soft glow of a sunset, the delicate detail of foliage, or the reflection on a body of water. This dual-medium approach allows me to balance speed and precision, creating lifelike landscapes that invite the viewer to step into the scene.
