Since early age, I have been litterally surrounded by art. My mother was a painter. We travelled a lot and I was early introduced to classic and modern art. Although I loved to paint and draw, I chose science, and started to paint more frequently only a few years ago. In 2008, I got my PhD in Marine Ecology. It was in no way a straithforward path, but Nature was there, always beautiful. As I had lived abroad for a good part of my youth, Swedish nature, both land and sea, was exotic and full of wonders to me. Take for example the striped cliffs of the Koster islands with a glowing moss in a dark cave, or the complex forms of microscopic animals in the sea... I learned to notice birds and bugs, small things and big, I am very glad for the experiences I cary with me from this time. I think it was important in every aspect of my life.
