About

My artist name is ARABSURREALISM. I am from Malmö but feel I adrift. In Sweden, I am seen as Arab, whereas in the Middle East, my Arabic wouldn't get me very far and I would be viewed as Swedish.

Through the ARABSURREALISM project, I process the frustrations that arise from existing in this borderland. My hope is that it can offer solace to others who feel equally adrift.

Mitt artistnamn är ARABSURREALISM. Jag kommer från Malmö men känner mig rotlös. I Sverige är jag arab medan i Mellanöstern skulle jag inte komma långt på min arabiska och ses som svensk.

Genom projektet ARABSURREALISM behandlas frustrationer som uppstått i gränslandet där jag befinner mig. Hoppas att det kan hjälpa andra som känner sig rotlösa.
