This painting is number 27 that I painted in a series of Observations. I have painted this particular motif before and can't stop being fascinated by its simplicity, and for me appealing expression. The former was red and turquoise. Wanting to take the simplicity one step further to black and white then became a natural continuation. An important part for me is the transition and meeting between black and white, where something happens that for me affects the whole.
