About

I love color, form, and above all, painting! Using oil on canvas, I create artworks in various styles, often inspired by the beauty of nature, with flowers frequently taking center stage. My background as a florist, which I trained for after moving from Iran to Stockholm, influences my deep appreciation for floral themes.

In my hometown of Rasht, I studied fine arts and art education. I ran my own gallery, Pasargad, where I exhibited both my own works and those of others, as well as conducted art courses. This experience provided me with valuable insights into both creating and sharing art with others.

At the moment, I am particularly drawn to abstract art—a genre that challenges me and appeals to me aesthetically. Yet, I also gladly return to realistic painting, both with and without models. Flowers and human figures have become recurring themes in my portraits, an area I have been exploring deeply in recent years.

My artistic journey continues with one goal in mind: to create what I love.

I live and work in Stockholm.

Using both brush and palette knife with oil paint gives my abstract works an intriguing dynamic. The precision of the brush, combined with the palette knife’s more structured and powerful application, creates contrast in texture and form. The palette knife can add depth and thick layers of color, enhancing the sense of movement and energy in my works, while the brush allows for finer detail and softer transitions. This combination of techniques is well-suited to expressing the theme of women with both strength and sensitivity.

My painting process with oil, brush, and palette knife often unfolds like this:

I start with an idea centered around color and feeling rather than detailed sketching. The brush is used to create a soft base with the main colors. The palette knife adds depth and texture through bold strokes and thicker layers of paint. Then, I use the brush to refine and soften transitions and to add details. Since oil dries slowly, I adjust the piece over time to achieve the desired expression.
