Eva Katrín is a contemporary textile artist based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she lives with her husband and their three children. A lifelong maker with a deep-rooted passion for handcrafted art, she draws inspiration from the beauty of nature and the lightness of summer. Her artworks, crafted with woven yarn on raw linen canvas, feature richly textured, three-dimensional forms that radiate warmth, energy and a profound connection to the natural world.
Although Eva’s artistic journey began early in life, it was in 2020 that she began sharing and selling her work, seeking to merge her love of knitting with her passion for visual expression. After much experimentation she developed her own distinctive style that blends tactile richness with a sculptural aesthetic.
Alongside her art practice, Eva worked as a registered nurse. She has balanced her roles as caregiver and creator, cultivating a part-time artistic career grounded in emotion and visual impact.

Traditional textile techniques with a contemporary approach
Yarn on raw linen canvas
Each piece begins with a linen canvas as the foundation, into which I lay waved yarn to gradually build up layers of color, texture, and form. This tactile process emphasizes the interplay between materials, allowing the unique qualities of each fiber to shape the final work.
