Inspiration
I try to depict the connection I feel with the natural world around me. The plants are muted in a man-made society but when we unplug and take in nature we quickly find they are both present and aware.

I'm constantly in search of plants and trees on my walks that I find beautiful or intruiging to depict. When I paint I use layering and bold brushwork, preferably working with egg tempera, oil sticks or acrylic.
