About
From a young age, this artist from Sweden has been captivated by the beauty and complexity of the human body. What began as childhood sketches of naked women grew into a passion for creating abstract paintings that use strong, vibrant colors to explore darker themes.
In recent years the artist has been inspired to create more realistic figurative art in oil. In this new series of paintings she captures the small moments that nobody sees - the stillness between movement, thought and emotion. With a figurative and technically skilled visual language, she explores the presence, identity and vulnerability of being human through a warm, calm and intimate expression. The new collection will be on display at Linn's first solo exhibition at Artist Arena showroom on the 14th of August 2026 along with a few of her earlier abstract pieces.

Inspiration
Her paintings begin with images that arrive instinctively — fragments, forms, and impressions that linger in the mind until they find their way onto the canvas. Painting is a way of following these impressions and discovering what lies beneath them. During, or sometimes only after, the creative process, the artist comes to understand the inner meaning that the external source of inspiration has mirrored and brought to the surface. The paintings thus become expressions of experiences that have not yet found their way into words.
The human body is the focal point in her work. She is drawn to its gestures, vulnerability, and sensuality — to the quiet poetry of the body in motion, at rest and in thought. For the artist, painting is a way to remind herself and others of the beauty that is in every person and to celebrate it. She also loves incorporating elements of nature in the background of her pieces.
Mainly self-taught.
