About

Hi!

Pleased to meet you. I am an artist who has recently emerged from a two-decade hiatus in my creative journey. Life, family and way to much work did not leave energy to create.

Art has always been an integral part of my life, starting from early experiences with drawing, painting, and sculpture. I have always enjoyed creating miniature environments, an inclination that first manifested itself during my childhood when I meticulously designed elaborate "castles" for my Barbie dolls. I never actually played with the dolls themselves; they just had a great house made with the books in my room for walls.

During high school years I was an art major and worked as a substitute art teacher. Teaching was not for me. At least not in my 20s.

My fascination with designing spaces evolved over the years, transitioning from Barbie castles to constructing miniature room boxes that could be hung on walls to pursuing a career in interior design. Today, I have my own Interior design - and event decor company. Events are rooms too and I love creating experiences for people to enjoy.

At 53 years young I am now starting a new chapter artistically. Finally, I am back at painting. Funnily enough it was when I got a room to myself in our home that the passion came back. There is that room again.

Watercolour is my now but I aim to explore other techniques going forward.

I am truly exited to embark on this second chance to art.

Inspiration

The contrast between light and dark and everything in between. The way the sun hits water or shines through the trees. The damp darkness as a stark opposite to the sunlit meadow. Nature but also still life, flowers and abstract sceneries.

High school, internship at high school teaching art. Self learned.

Water colour

Typically I scroll Instagram för inspiraition or use the photos that I take of what Id like to paint.
