About

Based between forest and sea in Stocksund, just outside Stockholm, I am an intuitive artist whose work is rooted in a deep sensitivity to nature’s quieter moments. My practice is shaped by a desire to translate fleeting impressions, those rare instances of stillness, beauty, and wonder - into visual form.

Alongside my work as a graphic designer and web editor, I have, in recent years, returned to my artistic practice with renewed focus and dedication. This shift marks a significant moment in my life, where creating art has become both a grounding force and a way of reconnecting with something essential in me.

My paintings invite the viewer into a contemplative space. A space where time slows down and attention is drawn to subtle details often overlooked. Through my work, I seeks to evoke a sense of calm and quiet awe, offering pieces that can live harmoniously within both private and professional environments.

Guided by intuition, my artistic voice is both exploratory and deeply personal, creating works that resonate on an emotional level while maintaining a refined visual presence.

Inspiration

My work is deeply rooted in an intuitive connection to nature, where emotion and atmosphere take precedence over literal representation. I am particularly drawn to water, coastal landscapes, and the quiet presence of animals.

Living close to both forest and sea, these environments naturally inform my visual language. The shifting reflections on water, the stillness of a solitary tree or the fleeting appearance of a bird become starting points for exploration. Recently, I have begun to explore landscapes from a bird’s-eye perspective, opening up new spatial dimensions within my work.

Rather than depicting specific places, I seek to capture a state of being - a moment of stillness, wonder, and subtle beauty. My paintings often originate from small, almost imperceptible experiences in nature: a reflection, a movement, a feeling that lingers.

I frequently return to semi-abstract seascapes, where a sense of playfulness meets contemplation. Within these compositions, I find a profound sense of calm, an atmosphere I aim to translate into each piece, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect and reconnect.

My artistic practice is shaped by a combination of academic study, professional design training, and a largely selfdirected exploration of painting.

I hold a degree in Art History from Uppsala University and University of Copenhagen, providing me with a strong theoretical foundation and a deep understanding of visual culture and art history. This is complemented by my education in graphic design at Berghs School of Communication, where I developed a refined sense of composition, balance, and visual communication.

Primarily selftaught as a painter, I have further deepened my practice through selected workshops and courses with established artists such as Karin Holmström, Vicente Garcia and Malin Björklund.

This blend of formal knowledge and intuitive exploration allows me to move freely between structure and spontaneity, grounding my work in both skill and sensitivity.

I am currently in the process of developing several ongoing bodies of work in watercolor and ink, with a particular focus on my semi-abstract seascapes and a newer series exploring landscapes from a bird’s-eye perspective. These works continue to evolve my visual language, balancing playfulness with a more contemplative depth.

While I am not currently exhibiting, I am actively working towards my first exhibition this year 2026. This upcoming milestone represents a natural progression in my practice, bringing together my evolving series into a cohesive presentation.

I am open to new collaborations and exhibition opportunities, both within Sweden and internationally, and is particularly interested in contexts where my work can engage in dialogue with space, atmosphere, and interior environments.

I work primarily with watercolor and ink on 100% cotton paper, with a preference for high-quality surfaces such as Saunders Waterford. The choice of material plays a crucial role in my process, allowing for both precision and organic movement within the composition.

My visual language can be described as semi-abstract interpretations of nature, where landscapes dissolve into fluid forms and subtle tonal shifts. The interplay between control and unpredictability is central to my technique. I often work in layers, gradually building depth while allowing each stage to retain a sense of transparency and lightness.

A defining characteristic of my practice is the way I combines watercolor and ink - two mediums with distinct properties - into a cohesive expression. Rather than controlling the outcome entirely, I embrace the spontaneous interactions between pigment, water, and paper. These moments of unpredictability give rise to delicate, almost ephemeral formations that shape the final work.

This balance between intention and surrender creates pieces that feel both refined and alive, capturing a sense of movement, atmosphere, and quiet complexity.

My painting process moves between intention and intuition, often beginning with a fleeting impression from nature—a reflection on water, the presence of a bird, or the quiet structure of a landscape. At times, however, the work emerges more freely, guided by the natural flow of watercolor and ink as they interact on the paper.

Working primarily in layers, I often develop several pieces simultaneously, allowing time for each layer to dry before continuing. This rhythm creates a dialogue between patience and spontaneity, where each stage informs the next. Subtle variations in pigment, water and timing become essential elements in shaping the final composition.

The act of painting is deeply immersive for me. In moments of flow, my attention is fully absorbed and drawn into the movement of water, the behavior of pigment, and the surface of the paper itself. This state of presence is central to my practice and is reflected in the quiet intensity of the finished works.

Knowing when a piece is complete remains an intuitive decision. Often, I will step away and return with fresh eyes, allowing the work to settle before adding the final, delicate details that bring it into balance.
