About

I am a professional industrial designer and lecturer, operating from my small studio in Stockholm. In addition to my design work, I also engage in painting. My journey into the world of painting started in the early 2000s, primarily working with acrylic and gouache, along with screen-printing. This artistic pursuit naturally evolved alongside my design work.

My artistic focus predominantly revolves around a purely geometric and non-figurative style, often referred to as Concrete Art. Within this style, composition, color, and perspective serve as pivotal elements in my creative process. I hope my work will evoke a positive response from the viewer and inspire curiosity.

Inspiration

I have many sources of inspiration; nature, design , architecture, movies, music and more.

1991-1993 Art Center College of Design, La Tour-De-Peilz, Switzerland
1993-1994 Konstfack, Industrial Design, Stockholm, Sweden
1994-1995 Umeå Institute of Industrial design/ Umeå, Sweden. MFA Graduate

Galleri Gamla Staden / Landskrona 2013

At the moment I work mainly in acrylic and gouache , but I will start do some explorative work in oil painting.
I have made a few screen prints in a limited edition, a few which are still available for sale.

I usually do a lot of pre studies in small scale guaches, until I know exactly how I want the larger painting to be. I then translate the sketch to canvas or other medium to create the original painting . I use a special masking technique to achieve very sharp borders to the color fields on the paintings.
