About
Jesper is a multifaceted creator, working as both a painter and sculptor, who has innovatively integrated coffee into nearly all of his artwork. His journey with coffee as a medium began unexpectedly; after installing a new concrete tabletop in his kitchen, he sought a way to protect it from the acidity of coffee. This led to the unconventional practice of placing watercolor paper beneath their coffee machine, where they discovered intriguing animal shapes formed in the resultant stains. Captivated by these organic patterns, he began to preserve the stained papers, using coffee as paint to create vivid works.
As his artistic exploration progressed, he expanded his technique to include painting on canvas, employing a unique blend of coffee mixed with various mediums to enhance his creations. In addition to his paintings, the artist's sculptures also prominently feature coffee, with coffee beans artfully incorporated into the resin used in his work. Each piece not only showcases their innovative approach but also pays homage to the humble coffee bean, making their art a distinct fusion of everyday materials and artistic vision.

Inspiration
The artist draws profound inspiration from the complex landscape of human emotions, immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of feelings that shape our existence. They possess a unique ability to channel these emotions by creatively transforming them into representations of animals, imbuing the subjects with depth and meaning. Among the myriad of creatures that captivate the artist's imagination, chimpanzees stand out as particularly intriguing. This preference is not merely a matter of aesthetic appeal; it stems from the fascinating and undeniable connection that chimpanzees share with humanity. Their expressive faces and social behaviors serve as a mirror, reflecting our own emotional experiences back to us. By exploring this intimate connection, the artist captures the essence of what it means to feel, allowing audiences to engage with the artworks on a profound level. Through this transformative process, the artist invites viewers to reflect on their own emotional journeys, fostering a deeper understanding of both themselves and the intricate web of life that surrounds us.
I was raized in an artistic home with a mother who was a sculpturer with her own gallery and studio. I spent many hours in her studio sculpturing. Other then that I am selftaught.
September, Malmö gallery weekend, I will participate with an exhibition in my studio together with two other artists.
October, Luftkastellet, Malmö, Art fair with about 60 artists participating
Mixed media, working with coffee as a base combining it with acrylic paint, ink, spray paint, glue and resin.
Mostly I paint with a dark bakground to easier integrate the coffee colour. Lately I finish the paintings with a layer of resin. Both to protect and to give it a deeper feeling.
