I am a visual artist working primarily in oil on canvas, exploring the quiet moments when something within us begins to shift. My work often emerges from fleeting observations of everyday life, moments where light, movement, and atmosphere reveal subtle emotional transitions.
Many paintings begin with a photograph or a scene drawn from urban environments, influenced by street culture, artificial light, and saturated color. From this starting point, the image gradually departs from its source. Through improvisation and layered painting, composition evolves as texture, tone, and brushwork begin to shape the work's emotional direction.
Rather than documenting a place or moment, the paintings explore inner movement: the subtle transformation that occurs when memory, experience, and presence intersect.
Balancing atmosphere and structure, the finished works should invite the viewers into spaces that feel both familiar and unresolved, moments suspended between what was and what is about to become...

Inspiration
I have so many different sources of inspiration!
Sometimes the initial idea come from a first hand experience, or it could evolve from a specific scenery that stayed with me or created a lasting emotion or image in my head. It could also be from a photo I have taken, and that I like, or it could be a quote from a book or a tune from a song.
I find it inspiring to surround myself with creativity, and with creative people with positive and open minds.
I have a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Linköping.

Since I have not had any professional training or schooling since I was a kid, I am still learning and exploring different techniques. I work with oil, just because that is what I have done earlier, but I would like to also try the acrylic path along the way.
I use different application tools, mixing brushes with knifes or spunges. But, I am always willing to learn and be inspired to continue to develop!
The painting normally slowly begins to evolve independently of the original vision, but always starting with an initial texture, tone, and brushwork to shape the overall idea and structure. I like to think the viewer will be able to somehow see my original "dreamy" image, the vision in my head, or the emotion that once started the piece, and how it has slowly been transferred from my head into a physical piece on the canvas. I am fascinated by colours, and how it impacts emotions, and I like how subtle variations in hue or shadow can totally change the emotional weight of a piece. The process is intuitive and open-ended, where no painting is ever completed exactly as imagined originally in my head, allowing each work to develop its own emotional resonance through the interplay of my memories, different lights and colours.
