Inspiration
My love for textile creativity developed as I played with scraps from my mother's sewing projects. Watching my mother and grandmother transform simple materials into beautiful, functional items made me really appreciate textile crafts.
It started with hand made creations for my Barbie dolls, evolved into knitting and revamping second-hand clothes and finally led to a tufting studio of my own where I can experiment with fiber textures and shapes.
Professionally, I worked with digital marketing and communications for over 20 years, but when I started freelancing a few years ago, the dream of combining creative digital work with creative hands on projects grew stronger.
A few months later, Tufterian, a combined office and textile art studio was born and now I tuft my own art pieces, tuft on commission and hold weekly tufting classes.
