Inspiration
Simona’s art is at heart based on the purist notion of geometric, clean two-dimensional shapes, uniting the positive qualities of precision and simplicity.
For her, each work is created through a synthesis of the Hegelian dialectic, an evolution by opposing sides unified in contradiction. As opposed to purist aesthetics, she places the female figure at the center of her work. Staying true to her inner growth she introduces a new challenge to the discourse, calling it “stepping out of the lines” presenting this back-and-forth debate through harmony between the rigidity and softness of lines, vivid colors, flat two-dimensional physical shapes painted smoothly to enhance the sense of impersonal objectivity and the depth of the uncontrollable inks.
