About

I am a Stockholm-based artist, born in Addis-Abeba to a Swedish mother and an Ethiopian father. My creative journey has been one of rediscovery, a return to an innate artistic energy that had once faded. Always drawn to making and building, I never painted—until later in life.

Now, in my late 50s, on a profound healing journey, I have reignited my passion through painting. A graduate of both The Beginners Course and The Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute, I embrace abstract expression as a deeply spiritual practice.

Painting is my safe space—a conversation with a trusted friend who never lets me down. Through color and form, I expresse the unseen connections between thoughts, energy, and emotion. Each piece is an intuitive release, a moment of stillness where I can surrender, reflect, and simply be.

I primarily work with mixed media-acrylics, inks, spray, markers—occasionally incorporating oils for a slower, more meditative process.

Personal growth is at the heart of my practice, and music is a constant source of inspiration, guiding the rhythm of my creations. Through my work, I invites viewers into a space of emotion, intuition, and connection, where art becomes a bridge between the seen and the unseen.

Inspiration

My inspiration comes from the unseen connections between thoughts, emotions, and energy. Painting is a deeply spiritual practice for me—a way to surrender, reflect, and express what cannot be spoken. Music plays a vital role in my process, guiding the rhythm of my creations. Influenced by personal growth and transformation, I trust intuition to shape my work, allowing each piece to unfold organically. My art is a bridge between the seen and the unseen, inviting viewers into a space of resonance, emotion, and connection.

"The Mastery Program" at Milan Art

I work primarily with mixed media—acrylic paints, inks, spray, and pens—on medium to large canvases and paper.

I am drawn to fast-drying materials that allow me to work in layers, constantly building upon what came before. My process is a dance, a rhythmic cycle of:
Light & Dark, Bright & Muted, Transparent & Opaque, Fast & Slow.

I just start and follow the energy, trusting the process. I often work on multiple pieces at once—when one exhausts me, I shift to another, allowing space for each painting to breathe and evolve. I paint in short, focused bursts before I need a break. This rhythm keeps me present and prevents overthinking.

I don’t decide when a painting is finished; instead, an inner voice tells me when to stop. The most challenging and experimental part of my process is letting go of control—allowing my intuition to guide my hands, trusting that the unseen forces at work will shape the final creation.

The process is intuitive and spontaneous. Layers emerge, shift, and transform, capturing the organic rhythms of time and emotion. Each painting holds a history within its surface—traces of past decisions and gestures that shape the final composition.
