About
My name is Anita Nyberg, I live in Stockholm. I started creating art quite late in life, even though I took some courses in Vedic Art in the early 1990s. However, it wasn’t until 2019 that I truly began painting and held my first exhibition and vernissage.
In the beginning, I only painted with watercolors, but some years later, I started using acrylics on canvas as well. Nowadays, I alternate between acrylics and watercolors, and I also incorporate spray paint, pearlescent colors, and glitter into my work. As a result, some of my paintings may have a subtle sparkle. I enjoy painting with both acrylics and watercolors equally.
In my portfolio here, I present a selection of my paintings, which are often vibrant, abstract, and sometimes romantic—while others lean towards soft pastels.
I am largely self-taught, but during my Vedic Art courses under the guidance of Curt Källman, the founder of Vedic Art in Sweden, I learned to paint intuitively and follow my emotions. I almost never decide in advance what to paint—I simply paint.
I have also attended courses at ABF Stockholm, led by Birgitta Kahri, and have shared two exhibitions with her at ABF Huddinge.

Watercolor and acrylic.
I usually paint in layers, which gives my paintings a rich texture.
Put a brush in my hand and give me my colors, and I will often create something vibrant or pastel, layer by layer. I rarely decide on the subject in advance.
