About
I am Johanna Joona, an artist and film editor based in Stockholm, Sweden. Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and when I paint I’m in my own world. When I paint I trust my intuition and instincts to guide the creative process.
My acrylic paintings are characterized by several layers of paint and texture paste. I use various tools to shape the paint and some sections of my paintings are almost sculptures of their own, creating a 3D effect. I am very inspired by light so the light source is another important element in my art. I work in many different layers that makes the art come alive when the sun hits the canvas.
My art is colorful and full of energy. I love how the viewer can find different motifs and emotions in my work depending on their own experiences, memories and feelings.

Inspiration
I find inspiration in nature, color, music and everyday life. I am also very inspired by light so the light source is another important element in my art. I work in many different layers that makes the art come alive when the sun hits the canvas. When I paint I let my emotions come out and guide the way.
I have a Bachelor of Philosophy in Videoproduction from Högskolan Dalarna and have been working as a film editor for the last 9 years.
