Inspiration

Lebo’s creative process is driven by a dialogue between inner reflection and cultural observation. Drawing from the narratives and visual patterns of his two cultures, the expressive language of street art and hip-hop, and the layered aesthetics of postmodern design, his work becomes a synthesis of identity, memory, and visual rhythm.

National Diploma in Graphic Design and a Certificate of Fine Arts from Tshwane Univeristy of Technology, South Africa.

Lebo creates mainly with acrylic paints

The themes, composition and general colors are thought out months before the actual painting is started.
He always starts with a base layer of color on the entire canvas and works in layers from there.
A painting is only finished once he feels it is a true representation of the initial mental image and the feelings it invoked.
