Inspiration

Emily´s paintings are inspired by various themes, such as nature, emotions, dreams, feminism, myths and psychology. Some of her recent works include “Nenikikamen”, which means “we have won” in Greek.

Emily Wallace comes from a family in which art plays a big role, since childhood she and her family painted together and they also went painted and learned from other artists in both Greece and in Sweden.

Exhibition planned to take place in September, 2024, Stockholm.

Emily Wallace switches between various techniques depending on the feeling she wants to achieve, lately she has been using cubism as a form of expression.

Emily has been asked about her process to which she replies " I truly am a believer of that one first needs to experience boredom to find the space in which an idea can be created, once an idea has started to take form it is time to start painting, from here it either can be an easy and straightforward process or it could be a process of ups and downs and disbelief . That is why trust is crucial, to be able to achieve a result that reflects me as an artist. I paint until I get there."
